Had phone screen replaced 10/2017 and was supposedly warrantied for 6 months. In 11/2017 touch screen stopped working. I brought it back in under warranty. They took the screen off and reconnected whatever was broken and apparently put the same screen back on but told me that they put a new screen on. The reason I know this is because they put a white screen on a black phone twice because they didn’t have the correct one. Convenient. I brought the phone home and when I looked at it again several hours later there was a large crack down the middle of the phone. I never even took the phone out after picking it up. Upon closer inspection the edges of the screen were lifting and the holes for the ear piece were not lined up. The phone was clearly put together incorrectly. The owner of the store Irving Fisher told me I clearly dropped the phone and that there was no longer a valid warranty. He then dared me to disparage his business but to be sure I told the truth. This is my 15 year old sons phone. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to replace the screen. If we damaged the phone I would simply take responsibility and replace it. Unfortunately three weeks before Christmas and I just started a new job. I don’t get paid until after Christmas for the first time. I can’t afford to take the responsibility for something I didn’t do. Nor did my child. He wasn’t even home. The phone was with me the entire time. The phone wasn’t dropped. It took all of an hour sitting on my kitchen counter to crack. I barely have any money to buy Christmas gifts or groceries for that matter. Barely holding on to our home and cars. Paying for college through the nose because we make too much money. No health insurance because I can’t afford the cobra. There are no resources for people like us. Thank you. Merry Christmas to all. I needed to be called a liar. They obviously use sub par equipment and materials and are simply a fraud. DO NOT USE THIS STORE. IRVING FISHER IS A CROOK. THEY EVEN TRIED TO GET OUT OF THEIR WARRANTY YESTERDAY WHEN THE TOUCH SCREEN WASN’T WORKING. CRIMINALS. My only option was to pay another 150.00 for them to replace the screen again for another 6 month non existent warranty. As I left the store another man approached me and said he had a similar issue with them over the summer. BUYER BEWARE. WISH I HAD DONE MORE RESEARCH BEFORE GOING TO THESE CROOKS!!!!
Employee who helped me was very helpful and went the extra mile to resolve my issue. Batteries were out of stock and he found one in the back that worked for almost 7 days. Good job!
I ordered a new battery for my UPS. The website said it was in stock at the local store and that I'd get a discount for purchasing online. When I arrived at the store, it turned out that they did not have the battery. They were very apologetic and told me that they'd get it for me. It took approximately one week to arrive but it works fine. The franchise owners are very nice and I suspect that this problem is a result of the online inventory system not matching up correctly with the store's actual inventory.
After badly damaging my relatively new cell phone, I took it here for repair. Just a few hours later I returned to find my phone as good as new. My only other option would have cost me significantly more money and I would ended up replacing my cell phone. Thank you for your repairs and for how you handled my concerns. I was one very happy camper when I left your store.
Nightmare experience here. Had my iphone screen replaced a few months ago; screen went totally dark this past weekend. After examining the phone, I noticed that the screen was barely visible with a flashlight held up to it, indicating the motherboard had been damaged and the back light was not working. I called the store and asked if they could help and if this would fall under the warranty (still within 6 month time frame). I was told they'd be unable to deal with the issue, it did not fall under warranty, and that I'd need to go elsewhere to fix. I went to another repair shop, and they were instantly able to diagnose and address the issue. Unfortunately, I'm now out another $150 for additional repair. On top of this, I was told by the second repair shop that the issue was caused by a low quality screen replacement. I messaged the owner yesterday to see if he was willing to help me out at all given what transpired. Not only did he refuse, but he actually belittled my phone's issue as if I was making it up. Not knowledgeable at all. If you're looking for cheap screens with very little understanding of more complex issues with your devices, this is the place for you. If you want quality products, expertise and a place that stands by their warranty, look elsewhere. There are a ton of good device repair options; you can do better than this establishment.
